Bed bugs appear to have been eradicated. Motel is under new, adult management since Christmas, 2010.
I saw no evidence of drug dealers or any disrespectful activities. Room was clean, bedding fresh, plenty of hot water. Room did not have an AC unit, just a heater, but Santa Cruz weather is seldom warmer than 75-80 degrees and is areound 55 or so at night in the summer.
A solid 2 star...Nice view, to boot!

I was there over Christmas. First management said they had a guy coming out "tomorrow". I asked "What do I need to do for this to be a successful spray?" They didn't know. I couldn't be ready over-night. 2 or 3 days later, when I had researched it and got everything ready for an exterminator, I was told that they have him come from out of the area, and I'd have to wait.
Luckily I wasn't going to live there, it was drug alley, lots of meth and pot. Now I hear there was a DEA raid, in-coop
I had a choice, I feel sorry for those who didn't.

my girlfriend and i stayed one night in this bedbugged horror. dunno the appartement number anymore but it was one of the rooms on the right up the stairs. AC was broken, lights didn't function properly and warm water was missing. after detecting several bedbugs in the sheets and under the matress i contacted the management, which consisted of 4 druggies and their dogs, hanging out in the parking lot smoking weed and listening crappy loud music, if we could switch the room. he first denied the e
xistence of bedbugs in whole and in his motel, so we insisted "a bit more clearly" on changing the room. we where then brought to the "sea breeze inn" down the street which is under management of the managers parents. this room was nice and clean but my girlfriend had problems getting to sleep because she was scared. the next day the managers parents were a bit upset about us getting this nice room for the price of the bedbugged one, but we weren't asked to pay more which is nice.
