OMG - Was there last week and went home with a few bites, thought they were random and spider bites.
Checked in Mon Night Tues I noticed welts on my back, yesterday I broke out in welts on my arms, more spots on my back,both my legs, both feet and my face. I thought I was allergic to something, took benadryl and tried to go to sleep. Woke up covered in my welts, and saw a red bug on the bed when I smashed it, it looked like two blood smears.
When I pulled back the top mattress I new where my

bites were coming from. BED BUG on the mattress skirt cover and in the mattress.
I moved all my stuff to my trunk, told the front desk and have been waiting for a call from the manager since 9:30Am. I am registered to stay there until Friday. Not sure what will come of this but I have 20 plus large welted oozy bites, I am not only itching like crazy and I am thoroughly disgusted. Not sure how this will turn out. I do now that now I have to treat my house, everywhere I had my clothes and suitcase and worry about bringing my suitcase to a new room they could still be in my clothes and suitcase and just travel with me. This is ridiculous that they don't have housekeeping check beds every-time time they make a bed. AGAIN I'M SO DISGUSTED !

I unfortunately stayed at Comfort Suites John Wayne Airport Santa Ana on March 13th, 2011

I woke up during the middle of the night with incessant itching on my back and when I looked in the mirror it was a strange "LINE" of red welts on my back.

I knew it wasn't hives and i don't have any known allergies.

I felt certain it had to be insect bites. At first i thought maybe spider bites.

I went online because I couldn't go back to sleep. After about 30 minutes researching online I was a

ppalled to discover that it had to be BEDBUGS.

i couldn't believe.

I searched everywhere the articles said, all around the bedframe and seems under the mattress and i found a bug!!!

I got dressed and went down to the lobby, showed them the bug & the bites but they insisted they "DON't HAVE BEDBUGS!!!"

I was outraged that they wouldn't give me another room

The next morning I demanded my money back from the General manager Gibert Castro.

He refused to give me my money back!

He was a self-important obnoxious individual I might add.

I have been fighting for a month and a half to get my money back. I even went through their main office Choice Hotels.

Since i booked it through Priceline (and their Booking.com)I thought they would help. Lots of promises but just another run around.

Even though I still have the "Bedbug I found, nobody cares!!!

I am filing a Better Business Bureau complaint against the Comfort Inn.

I initiated a Credit Card dispute today.

But it isn't my Credit Card company's fault!!! It is the Comfort Inn and I want a refund

but I'll surely win the Credit Card dispute and get my money that way if I have to.

Then someone told me about BEDBUG REGISTRY !!!

Thank God you exist! I am going to check your site from now on every time I am considering staying somewhere.
