NAR Conference November 8-11. Room 711 (not so lucky I guess). Bites on my lower legs when I got home. Not pleased to see so many reports about the Nikko. Frantically washing everything I brought home and bagging up other stuff. Suitcase in back yard for now.
Too bad. It was a lovely hotel otherwise. I wish I had checked the Bed Bug Registry before staying here.

Bed bugs and I am currently spraying my luggage what a nightmare

Having dealt with bedbugs before, the first thing I did after checking in was check the mattresses, headboards, etc. No obvious signs of bedbugs, but it turns out that Hotel Nikko has installed matress encasements...a clear sign of past problems.
Turns out they have current problems, too. I can't say that I was eaten alive, but by the second day I had numerous visible bites. And yes, they were definitely bed bug bites: three to four red bites in a straight line.

I stayed there in February for business, what a nightmare! I returned home covered in bites. I had to pay $600 to have my apartment inspected to make sure I didn't bring them home with me. The Hotel refused even to refund the amount I paid to' stay at their hotel! They offered me 10% off!!! Seriously? They insisted on my releasing my medical records to them, as if just inspecting the room I stayed in wouldn't reveal the truth to the situation. Terrible service. I get that this occurs but at leas
