Stayed at the Omni June 22-26, 2014. My wife alerted me of reports prior to arrival. I searched high and low, through all of the sheets and mattress, and all throughout the room. I did not find the first bug or trace of any bugs. I would stay here again. Very nice place and friendly staff.

While pictures of the bites all over my stomach are available, I will spare you the details. Customer service in general was good.

Honesty and follow through on bug bites, not impressive. I took a group of my employees for a conference. When I awoke the first morning, I had big bites all over my abdomen. They were in clusters and linear, which is often indicative of a bed bug.

I informed the front desk who sent up the housekeeping director. At this point I had lifted my mattress off to l

ook for signs. I didn't find live bugs but was caught off guard by the dust balls.

A flashlight was used to quickly scan the area and he concluded there were no bugs but reassured me he would be calling someone to make an official evaluation.

The evening manager kindly moved me to the lounge floor and I quickly left the room, accidentally leaving behind my jeans.

When I inquired about the jeans the next day, my former room was already occupied (thinking to myself, I hope they confirmed there were no bed bugs).

I never was able to recover my jeans before my departure. I left a letter for management requesting a report of the findings so I could know how to properly care for my luggage and clothes as I know it would be a pain to bring bugs into my home.

Communication with the front desk became rude and they said the housekeeping director would not be back until Monday.

They eventually found my jeans and sent them. They also sent the evaluation report. It wasn't assessed until that Monday!!! This means, new clients were put in my former room despite a formal evaluation and knowing I had left the room with bites.

This is the appalling and unprofessional part that still disturbs me, not just for myself but the next unknowing and paying customer. Wow, all to make a few more dollars?

I still have the bite marks and hope they don't scar. I left my luggage in the garage for a week and washed my clothes in a hot two hour sanitizing cycle.

The on site manager who handled this was kind and apologetic. The housekeeping director lacked follow through, honesty and referred to my designer jeans as "worn out," when they finally found them.

I never heard from the general manager despite requesting some kind of compensation. Waving one night of parking doesn't suffice.

It's a pretty hotel and looks nice but just know background scenes can be shady. Front desk girls went from super nice to rude and sassy once the letter for management was received.
