On behalf of the Hyatt regency Irvine, please allow me to reach out to you regarding your stay at our property. We take every report of bed bugs very seriosly. Once we learned of your concerns, we immediately removed the room from service and contacted a nationally recognized pest control expert to conduct a thorough examination of the guest room. That examination failed to find any trace of bed bugs.
The safety of our guests and the cleanliness of our facilities are top priorities. The trai
ned and knowledgeable housekeeping staff at the Hyatt Regency Irvine is one of the best lines of defense along with our regular inspectons. We pride ourselves on keeping our teams equipped with the knowledge, training and tools needed to identify and address any issues, and we regularly review our housekeeping standards and procedures to endeavor to ensure that each Hyatt guest enjoys a safe, clean and comfortable environment in our hotels.

A colleague awoke and pulled back the curtains in the morning to find blood streaks all down the sheets from the entire length of where he had been laying from where he was bitten. It was reported to the Front Desk.

There has been a recent confirmed report of a bed bug incident in one guestroom at Hyatt Regency Irvine. The hotel immediately put its pest remediation program in place and was able to swiftly address the issue. Working with our nationally recognized pest control partner, we will continue to do thorough searches of all affected areas and perform our regular inspections as a part of routine cleanings of guestrooms. Education, awareness, and vigilance are critical to addressing bed bug issues.
Our trained and knowledgeable housekeeping staff is one of the best lines of defense, along with our regular inspections. Oct 30, 2011. I woke at apprx. 915pm to get some water. When I returned to my bed, ifound 3 small bugs crawling around my pillow. Called the manager, who changed my room and took my pjs to be dry cleaned.
