a bugs life Really? on 10/08/2013
we checked into room3229 on sept 23/2013 , for four nites. my friend was in a double as I was also by three am I couldn't ts leet as I was being bitten and felt like I was. being crawled on ewh. so we looked at the sheets and found blood mine I guess and scratch from bugs I called housekeeping first thing they removed us from the room apron our removal we showed the bellman and he looked at the cleaners and said THEY HAVE BUGS! so they had us go downstairs and wait for a room to come available
. we watched people being checked into rooms for four hours and when we were told to come recheck in they PUT US BACK IN THE SAME ROOM! 3229!! Ya No kidding said it was clean! so we go into the room this is one pm now, and I see the bed skirt the same one was still on the bed the floors we not vacuumed etc etc etc room was still unmade. so all they did was change the sheets Really!
That evening they returned biting the crap out of me I called again to housekeeping and they switched out the matress that was it and left the dirty bed skirt still on the bed frame !! day three I'm treating myself with rid and dog shampoo that we took a cab to CVS for anything we could find. on Friday upon checkout I asked for the manager a woman here is the story I got no apology nothing! she said its never happened there before I gave her the bug spray receipt and she followed up so she said on having the room treated whatever that meant. she paid for the rid and shampoo and took one dinner off my bill. which I honestly expected they would have gotten us out of that room the cost was not the issue the not handling the situation was appalling at best we have a few hundreds employees ourselves and customer service is first and formost.
This was disgracefull! REMEMBER 3229 don't stay in that room it's crawling !

We experienced a couple bites here and there while staying at Disney's most expensive hotel. But the biting continued once we came home. 3 weeks later we finally discovered our first bed bug. It will cost $1000 to get this fixed now.

I always use Bedbug Registry before travelling after a horrible experience in San Francisco.
I looked up the Grand Californian and was STUNNED to see there were several reports of bedbugs.
It was embarrassing but I called the hotel to get their take on my concerns. Christian in their Guest Services Department was very patient, very kind, very friendly and very attentive to my questions. He stated that he has never heard of a bedbug report. He indicated that he would check out the room f
or us before our visit. He said that if we arrived and checked the room out and wanted a different room, he would make it possible.
We arrived on October 13 and went into room 3102. The room was very clean. I saw no evidence of any problems. I was still very careful to follow the steps advised on the bedbug registry website. We had no problems at all during our four night visit. I was pleased with how helpful they were at the Grand Californian.
